Very Barbaric, 22 activists KNPB Indonesian Police Shot Dead

Jayapura,-- Speaker of the National Committee of West Papua, Wim Medlama said at least 22 members KNBP killed and dozens others were imprisoned during 2012.

According Medlama, shooting death of Mabel and the Mako was not in accordance with procedures. The police seems to have justification to shoot them for alleged crimes.

Mako accused of involvement in a series of shooting a stranger in Jayapura since May 29, 2012. While Mabel was accused of involvement in attacks on police Pirime Lanny Jaya.

"The shooting of members of KNPB is unlawful. Someone who alleged perpetrators should be arrested and prosecuted, "said Medlama.

KNPB Chairman, Victor Yeimo estimate criminalization of members will become increasingly common. KNPB often associated with the independence movement by urging a referendum.
